I bought myself a 7Gypsies Artist Printers Tray after being inspired by the one Leena created for her family. But it was so difficult to start on that tray! I wanted to create something really special and I didn't want to destroy this one and only piece I could get my hands on - can you believe, the only place you can get these trays now is online ... and even then!
So anyway. When October Afternoon's The Thrift Shop collection joined my stash, it seemed to be the perfect marriage with the 7G tray. Oh who am I kidding? I'd alter my cat with those papers, just to have an excuse to play with them! They're gorgeous! In any case, the papers kicked my butt into gear and they proved to be the best inspiration for this project. Add in lots of Maya Road chipboard goodness, and what else can a girl ask for? Hee.
This tray is basically a set of 12 ATC-sized windows and since I had some practice with making ATCs for my Creative Therapy catalysts, this was a blast to create. Wasn't easy, cos you know I had to stop myself from embellishing every square inch of space. But oh how I ADORE the end result.
Then 3-quarters into the project, I found the PERFECT love quote by Thomas Mann to use. I'll share it in it's entirety later. Cos I really want to share the pictures of my tray now. :) Enjoy!
Did you have fun? I didn't stop smiling through the 1 week it took to finish this tray. I love it so. So, I'd like to do a teeny giveaway - to share the love with you guys. :)
All you have to do is leave a comment on this blogpost, with your guess on which of the 12 windows is my absolute favorite. :) I've labeled the windows as per below grid. So if you think my favorite window of the 7G tray is the top left-hand corner, just indicate A1 in your comment. :) Easy-peasy.
Want to know what you stand to win? Below is a pack of embellishments, some of those I used on this 7G tray. It also includes a precious piece of that vintage brass butterfly from Papertales. So that you can go ahead and create a few ATCs of your own! :) I'll pick a winner on Saturday 5th June, good luck!
Oh, so here's the complete Love Quote by Thomas Mann I used on my tray.
